Yeah, we don’t get it either… but this is how the former Chicago Cubs star looked as he stepped onto the red carpet last week for the Latin Grammy Awards.
Check out the shocking photos that shows Sosa’s skin much lighter.
But a former Cubs employee and current friend of Sosa’s says that while she thought the photos were of a Sosa body double… there’s no need to panic.

She tells the Chicago Tribune: “"He's not trying to be Michael Jackson,"
"He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin.”

In fact, she says Sammy was surprised when he saw the photos himself.

(UPDATE 11-11-09)Sammy Sosa came clean for his fans on Spanish TV show indicates that he doesn't have any sort of skin disease or bleach for that matter...the secret is in his special cream which caused major lighter complexion on his skin which made him almost like Mike!

since Sammy's current condition seems to be a common side effect of this particular skin treatment, I wonder why people continue to have it done...

I don't know much about the kind of his skin treatment, but it just looks kind of weird to me with such huge contrast from before!

I wonder if that was what cause Michael Jackson's health to deteriorate?
